SC GALLERY + ART MANAGEMENT presents SC TALKS
A project directed by Sergio García Bayón (SC Gallery + Art Management) with the cooperation of XOX agency.
We start this series of talks with a conversation with Nuria Mora, who will do a brief review of her long artistic career.
Nuria Mora, visual artist (Madrid, Spain, 1974). She started painting in the streets in the late 1990s with some fellow students of the Fine Arts School using her own, unique language. With no previous relation with street art, Nuria left aside the graffiti tradition, which was until then based on names, characters and tags.
Nuria mainly works with geometry, shapes and organic elements in the public space. In parallel, her studio work has been evolving in a distinctive language that has earned her exhibitions in some of the world’s leading arts centers, such as the Tate Modern in London, UK; the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, Spain; the Pilori Visual Arts Space in Niort, France; the Pilar & Joan Miró Foundation in Mallorca, Spain; or the Johannesburg Art Gallery, South Africa.
