    ABOUT THE ARTIST

Fernando Tinoco (1999), a Fine Arts graduate from the University of Granada (2021), is an artist who seeks to unify his current concerns with an imagery rooted in his childhood. His generation, shaped by the social context in which they live and the pervasive influence of social media, experiences an overwhelming exposure to emotions of all kinds, to the point of normalizing issues such as anxiety and depression.

As a result, the internet is flooded with memes and shitposts that address these topics humorously, often trivializing their seriousness. It is this bittersweet sensation that Tinoco strives to capture in his work, aiming to provoke a smile in the viewer, accompanied by a subtle sense of guilt. The refined finish of his pieces allows him to enter a necessary period of reflection and calm, according to the artist.
