At SC Gallery, we are pleased to present the work of sculptor Kiko Miyares (Llanes, Asturias, 1977), a Fine Arts graduate. His practice explores the possibilities of representation through wood sculpture, developing a distinctive language that balances the intuitive with the rational. His work is a continuous investigation that questions the dynamics between perception and form, constantly reaffirming the sculptural act.
For ArteSantander, we are presenting a large altarpiece in which the deliberate distortion of the figures acts as a visual catalyst—capturing attention and provoking an active interpretative process, where connections between meaning, structure, and balance are explored.
With a career marked by ongoing formal exploration and a strong presence on the international art circuit, Miyares has established himself as a singular voice in contemporary art. His recent exhibitions include La Vida Huracanada at SC Gallery (Bilbao), Magnética Maleza at CEART (Madrid), and participation in Art Taipei (Taiwan), among others.
SC Gallery is participating in ARTE SANTANDER 2025 with the collaboration and support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia (Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia).
